Summer Fun Sleep over!!

So the week of July 22nd through the 26th the boys and I took part in Vacation Bible School.  It was really a blast, but took a lot out of me to say the least!!!  I was a station leader in charge of the games for grades K-5th.  I had groups of 35 children come to my station in five rotations.  By the end of the week my voice was hoarse and I was pretty tired.  The boys had a wonderful time and we had play dates almost everyday after VBS from pool to parks.  We stayed really busy!!!  But it was very fulfilling to see the kids learn and have so much fun!!!  I would do it all over again!!!  So that Saturday we decided to have a fun but relaxing day with our good friends the Andiarena's and Krista!  We started at their house and it was hot so on came the water!!

 

Michael going down the slip and slide.  Porsche and Vic's backyard was perfect for it, they had a little hill that made it go pretty fast.  It also didn't hurt that we put on some dish soap to make it even faster!  :-)

Then they decided to try all five kids across to go down...

 

It worked pretty well, a little dog pile at the end but no one was hurt so that was a plus!!!

 

I am not sure what David was doing here, but Alex was laughing about it!!!

 

AJ was going so fast that he went right over the bump onto the grass!!!

 

And of course the parents had to have a turn!!!

 

And then the boys decided to get "creative."  Here they were trying to run up the slip and slide.  They did finally make it up!

 

Next was going down on their feet - nothing broken so again another plus!  ;-)  They also tried somersaults down the slide.  Those boys are CRAZY!!

 

Then David with both boys on his back heading down the slide!!!  I saw disaster ahead!  LOL

 

And on a hot day the ice cream man came around so we had to have a scoop!!!

 

Then we went off to our house for a dinner and some games!  Of course we had to break out the Blongo ball!!

 

Enjoying a nice summer evening.  You can see the kids brought out the dinosaur tracks and made a trail around the patio.  :-)

 

Porsche and Gracie all cuddled together while the other four adults were playing Blongo ball.  They were cheering us on!!

 

And you can't end a great night without smores around a fire!  I do have to say it was really hot still so the adults stood back a bit and we didn't let it burn all the way down this time.  The mosquitoes are getting bad and we were all getting eaten alive.  So we moved it inside for more games!!!  It was such a fun day and nice and relaxing, just what all of us needed!!!  The kids were excited because we were having one big sleep over with everybody!!!  They have been wanting to have them overnight for awhile!
