Volksfest in Kaiserslautern

On Friday night, October 17th, we headed to the local fest in town.  We missed it the last year so of course we had to go this year - I thought it would be lots of fun!!

 

The boys were checking out one of the new rides and it was fast and upside down.  Both decided that they did not want to go on it.  :-)

Gotta love Michael's look on his face.  All the three kids wanted for dinner was fries at the time, so why not?!?

 

Their Ferris wheels are HUGE in Europe and it looked so pretty all lit up!

The boys were able to ride a few rides and one of the was the trampolines - they really do love them and they actually jumped really high this time!!!

 

They were able to play two games and one of them they chose was of course shooting. 

 

They both actually did really, really well.  I guess their scout camp helped a lot!

 

Bumper car time - they had to figure out part of the fun was bumping into other cars.  By the end they were doing really well, or it was just they were bad drivers.  :-)

There were mirrors on the ceiling so I couldn't help but take this one!!

 

This was actually a really good mirror maze, it took awhile to even find our way out.  We let the kids lead but that might have been a mistake.

 

They were going so fast, both kids bonked their heads on the mirrors, I have to say I giggled a little bit.  :-)

 

By this time, Maria and I had found our way out and were just waiting for them to get to us, we were having a great time watching them try and figure it out!!!  They did have so much fun in there!!

 

It was also the first night it was open so there was a fireworks show also!!  We were really lucky!!

 

We were also really lucky with how many stuffed animals these guys won at the claw game!!  They got a few on the first try!!!  My friend Maria went back the next night and they couldn't win anything.  I think they made it easy the first night and then made it near impossible to win after that.  But we had such a great time that night and had lots of laughs!!!
