On Saturday, May 21st we split up, David, John and Sue headed to Paris, while the boys and I stayed home for baseball and fest time!
They only had a day in Paris, so they were going to try and see as much as they could. They started with the Louve.
The architect around the Louve is just so beautiful!!!!
The Louve is so big that if you spend 30 seconds at each piece of art it will take six months to go through it. That is crazy big!!! So they were only able to see a very, very, very small part.
Had to check the box and see the Mona Lisa - it is still small.
This is what might happen to David if he steps out of line. LOL:-)
The Arch de Triumph was next, the famous Chevy Chase scene. It is truly amazing to watch the cars go around, I would not want to be the one driving around there.
I planned a tour of the Eiffel Tour for them so they could skip the lines. They said the tour guide was very good, and informative. Though they didn't take any pictures of themselves at the Eiffel Tour. Lol
The last big stop they had was Notre Dame. They were amazed at the cathedral as I am sure all are that step in there. I have to say, I was a little jealous because the organ was playing while they were visiting and they recorded it for me and it was beautiful, but I would have loved to hear it live!
We were at home and AJ's game was first. He started at third base and did a great job!!!
AJ has been doing a great job hitting this year!!!
He made it to base again!!! I am so proud of how well he is doing this year!!!
Michael's game was next. He was trying to hit the ball out of the park. He hit it and did a great job!!!
He was playing a game against one of his best friends. Here they are talking while Michael is playing first base and Christopher is on first base.
Another great hit by Michael!!! He did really great during his game!! He is improving leaps and bounds!
After the games we headed home to change, have some lunch and then head to the Kaiserslautern Fest. Of course the first thing the boys wanted to do was the claw.
It is tradition that we go with Julie and her mom when it is in town. They did a great job with the claw. I am surprised how many stuffed animals they won.
Next we headed to the bumper cars, that it usually the second thing that they want to do. :-)
They had a great time until Michael was bumped from the front and back, glasses feel off and he hit his chest. But he is a trooper.
He jumped back into the bumper cars and decided to ride with his brother. As you can see AJ was being very productive.
They decided their second ride would be the fun house!!
Part of the fun house, they had to come through a porta potty!!! It was great!!!!!
Then they always have a water feature. It was a great because it was a little warm that day.
And AJ getting his head soaked!!! He loved it!!!
Michael decided to follow suit and get a little wet!!!! Good thing they don't melt when they get wet!!
Michael always wants cotton candy, so they was his treat for the fest!
And to finish the night, back to the claws. They just can't stay away from them!
The three kids - thick as thieves and loving their time at the fest!! We all had a great time and were glad we went!!
