Our next port was Myknos Greece. We told the kids that they could have a beach day for this port instead of going on an excursion or tour. They were very, very excited and kept asking when the beach day was for most of the vacation. :-)
The boys waiting to be able to get off the boat, they were more anxious today than most to get off. :-)
Our view from the boat, one thing about Greece, it is a beautiful country!!!
We finally made it off the boat. We had to wait a little bit because there were buses that took us into town.
My boys liked to pose with the crew on the way out. It was interesting al the different outfits they dressed up in.
Walking towards the town and enjoying the beautiful sunshine!
Look at the clear water!!
We were all dreaming of the yacht that we could own. Maybe one day. :-)
Mom took a picture of the eight of us. Dad decided to stay on the boat this morning. We are a handsome group!
I LOVE the purple flowers and the white buildings!! It really pops the color!
The kids were complaining because they said we were supposed to go to the beach, but we had to do a little shopping and checking out the town first.
This horse was made out of driftwood. It is really cool looking!
You can see how small the streets are. Even down these alleys, they have little cars that they "try" and drive through these streets.
A very old time windmill - in most of the souvenirs had it on it, and it took us a little while to find it.
Julie and Gabby doing a little shopping down by the bay.
Michael enjoying a little alone time checking out the view!
The cousins - anxiously awaiting the time to get in the water!!!
The white houses do look so clean and beautiful!! I wonder how often they have to paint them to keep them that white.
Kaitlyn and Michael were the first into the water!! The beach wasn't a nice sandy beach, a little rocky, but the kids didn't seem to car a bit.
AJ, Michael and Kaitlyn enjoying the water. It was a little cold at first, but again the kids didn't care, they just enjoyed being in the water!
Kaitlyn and AJ heading out to sea!!! I thought they might just keep swimming. :-)
Not a bad view, enjoying some much needed sunshine!!
David decided to join the kids in the water!
The kids were very excited to have their dad out there swimming with them!!!
I gave the kids the underwater camera and they did some diving. One of their finds was an old anchor and they were very excited!!
They also found an old tire.
And some of the local flora under the sea!! Once I got in the water they had to show me everything they found right away!! I love when they explore!
Michael being launched by David!!!
Kaitlyn wanted a turn as well!! Good thing David is strong because the kids kept asking him to throw them over and over again!
Julie decided it was time to join the kids in the water.
Julie enjoying the water and the view!!!
Michael and I enjoying some water, sun, and fun!!!
My honey and me enjoying the water!! It is so nice to be able to just relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery and company!!
AJ, Michael, Gabby, Kaitlyn, and Aunt Julie swimming together in the sea!!! I am not sure where else I would want to be then here with my family!!
AJ working on his back float and zen moment!
And of course what do we need after a long day of swimming?!? Ice cream!
The cousins enjoying their ice cream!!! Look at those big smiles!!!!
At the end of the day, heading back to the boat and of course they couldn't walk on the normal path, they had to walk on the other one. LOL :-)
There was a little bit of a wait to head back to the boat, so the kids decided to play a little bit of soccer. They didn't much like the other kid playing with them, but they were trying to be polite about it.
One last look up at the beautiful city!
When we got back to the boat, guess where we found the other three?!?! Yep the game room!!! It is our home away from home!!
Michael decided he didn't want to play with cards, so he found someone to play chess with.
Then a little Kings in the Corner with Aunt Julie!!!
We headed over to the Garden room for dinner and this was David's appetizer. I am not sure if I could have eaten the octopus or not.
Then a little shuffleboard after dinner with the kids.
Michael taking his turn, while David enjoying the view as we were leaving port.
Our dinosaur for the evening!!
He even put the boys animals and blankets all nice up in the bunk!
That night there was a art show that Mom, David, Julie, and I went to. It was very interesting! The kids finally got their beach day and we relaxed with them!
