Saturday BBQ

On Saturday we had our normal baseball games in the morning.  Both boys did fantastic in their games.  They both have really, really improved over the season.  It is really neat to watch how far they have come and they each have had such great coaches this year!!!  After that some wonderful friends were coming up to hang out with us for the night.  But first--some really, really exciting news well at least for me.  We have fruit!!!  From our very own garden!!!!

 

There they are, the beautiful strawberries!!!  Can you tell I am really excited!!  I didn't really think anything would grow.  LOL

This is our garden you can see other items starting to grow.  What is amazing is when I went out there today it was even bigger and a lot more green!!!  It is very exciting!!!  Hopefully they will continue to grow.

 

After that David had to get the ribs ready for the BBQ.  AJ wanted to learn how Daddy made the ribs.  So here he is observing.

 

Then he is working on his first set of ribs - I see a future BBQer in the making.

 

And while David was working on the ribs, Michael was my big helper in making cookies.  He said he is a master chocolate chip cookie maker now!!  I love it!!!

 

On Sunday we went to a spring bazaar and of course, what did Michael want....

They also had a free carousel there for the kids so the boys had a great time on that.  Of course they had to wait until we were able to walk through the bizarre, it was good incentive to be good.  ;-)

 

Michael loving it!!!  We had a great time over the weekend!!!   It is always great to see old friends and be able to just sit and relax and let our children play!  The weather was fantastic today also!!!  That always helps!!  :-)
