This was our first carrot that we pulled from our garden!!! I was so excited!!! It wasn't quite ready, but it looked like a carrot!! We pulled it July 8th.
On Tuesday July 9th our friend invited us up to a local's lake. It was so awesome!!! It was about a 45 minute drive there, but worth every minute. It was a clear lake with great sand!! The weather was hot, which made it even nicer!! She told us not to take a wrong turn because part of the lake is bathing suits optional. Luckily she knew the correct path to take to the family beach. She took the wrong way once. :-)
The boys enjoying the water!
They wanted to go out to the island in the middle of the lake. Luckily our friends had brought a few blow up rafts so off we went.
We made it over half way there, but then I decided that I didn't want to take up all the time with their toys so we headed back.
The sand was great for making sand castles!!! Here is AJ hard at work. We had a wonderful time just relaxing, enjoying some sun and water!!! The boys said we had to take Daddy back there! I am good with that!!!
Then on July 11th we headed down to Weisbaden to visit our friend's Amber, Asher and Tristan. During that week they were having a kinderfest (kid party) in their down town. So we decided to head over there and check it out. Amber said there was going to be water events there so we showed up in our swimsuits!
We were a little early for the party to start, it didn't start till 3 pm and we were there a little before 2 pm. So here is Michael doing one of his crazy poses.
AJ found a balloon floating around and this gave all four boys quite a bit of entertainment while we were waiting for everything to open up.
Also AJ wanted to take some pictures. Here is Michael and I waiting for the fun to begin!!!
So after waiting patiently in line for about 35 minutes (because we were that early) they were finally able to go down this slide! They were sprayed on top with a water hose after climbing up almost 20 feet.
Then down they went and ended in a pool of water. The boys LOVED it!!!
The boys waiting in line for the next event, an obstacle bouncy house!
On your mark, get set...
GO!!!! And they were off.
It ended with a climbing wall.
Then there was a pool that was strictly for splashing everybody around. You know this was a hit with the boys!!! They laughed, ran and had a ball!!!
Victorious and soaking wet!!! All smiles!!!!
This was neat, it was a slide. They sat on a wooden cupboard door it looked like and slid on down.
Michael loves slides!!!
This was perfect for my little monkeys, monkey bars!! What was neat is that they had a piece of paper and there were eight different events they had to finish to get a prize.
AJ's turn, you can see how long it is on this picture.
They had to go through a snake pit and a few obstacles wearing these costumes.
AJ working on crawling under and then over the strings.
Michael was having some issues with how big the head was and getting low enough to go under the string, but he made it!
This was the elephant walk as you can clearly see. It was harder than it looked.
Michael walking very carefully around the corner heading for the home stretch.
On this one they had to walk over obstacles with a bowl of water on your head and try not to spill any water.
The boys did pretty good only spilling a little bit of water along the way.
They even had arts and crafts there. Here AJ is making things out of sponges. They also did a really cool painting.
Here they were making things out of flip flops. Cutting them apart and making whatever. AJ made a bracelet with his. There were so many other crafts to do there too, sidewalk chalk that they had to make into paint and they could paint. There were live bands and some dancers also. It was an amazing event and everything was free which made it even better!! We stayed until after 6 pm and weren't able to do everything. There was so much to do. They also had some things for little kids too, like Tristan. There was something for everyone! The boys wanted to go back the next day because it was so much fun!!!
