Karate - Mixed Martail Arts

So the boys decided that they wanted to do karate again.  So I put them on the wait list and they were able to get in!!!  They were so excited for their first day on Thursday.  So off we went.  We didn't have uniforms yet because I wasn't sure where to go and which ones to get.  But by next week they will be all geared up!!  The sensei was a really nice guy and he has two others that help him lead the kids.  My boys were all smiles the whole time!!   The instructor said it is part mixed martial arts also.

 

They were able to spar their first night - here is Michael all geared up and waiting his turn.

AJ was a little more evenly matched with height, though the other kid has been in it for awhile, but AJ did great!!!!

 

Going in for the kick!!!  The boys came out all smiles and said they had a wonderful time!!!!  So this will be something that we will be doing for awhile!  They are excited about earning stripes on their belts and going up in colors!!!  A great goal to have!  Also on Friday night, Mom and Dad made it back from Ireland!!  They had a FANTASTIC time!!!  I decided to give them a couple days off so I didn't plan any big trips for Saturday or Sunday.  :-)
