So for New Years this year we decided we wanted to go to Budapest. It
is a 10 hour drive so we wanted to break it up on the way there so we
decided to stop for a night in Vienna. We headed out on Monday December 28th.
We arrived at our hotel, checked in and then decided to head back out and see if we can find a Christmas market. While we were waiting in the lobby, the boys decided to play jack-in-the-box behind the couch. They said I couldn't take a picture of them. :-)
AJ on the train heading into downtown.
David telling a good story on the way into town!
Our first glimpse of the market after getting out of the train station.
As we were heading there David say this and we couldn't believe our eyes. They actually have treadmills that you run on while you are eating sushi. Isn't that crazy?!? I don't think I would ever run and eat.
The gang back together again for another wonderful adventure!!!! If you can't tell it was a little cold out there.
This was a different kind of Ferris wheel. They are actually little huts and you can eat dinner in it as you go around and around.
The girls, Gina, myself and Kellee, with our hot chocolate. We normally have gluwhein, but they had some really yummy white hot chocolate that we had to try and we still were able to get a mug!!!!
This market ended up being more of an amusement park, so what do you do?!? Ride some rides. The boys wanted to ride the swings, only these were a little different.
Michael wanted to go as well, but he was a little nervous once we got on. Good or bad, he couldn't get off. So up we went.
And up, and up and up. This ride went up 95 meters (310 feet) tall!!! It went up to 38 mph. I thought it was cold on the ground walking around, it was FREEZING up that high and going that fast. Michael and AJ did really good!!
Next they wanted to go on a roller coaster, one I would never go on again. Oh my gosh it hurt, it was awful. But the kids still had fun!! After that we found some food and headed back to the hotel and enjoyed some beverages and talking down in the hotel lobby.
