We came back the next day for more!! The boys were excited and ready to go!!!
AJ's friend Joseph came with us this day - they are such happy boys!!!
Michael hanging with his group!! I am thankful that he had a pretty good group and was happy with them.
AJ and his group of the camp - getting ready for the opening ceremonies.
The first activity AJ's group did was to build a marble maze. They had to pound A LOT of nails into this board, they spray painted it, and then put on rubber bands to make a maze.
I caught up with Michael for a little bit when he was making his marshmallow gun. He was learning about the history of rifles and bow and arrows.
Then he decided to try and hit me with the marshmallows!! Thankfully they don't hurt too much!! LOL
That was AJ's next activity was to make his marshmallow gun! He had a great time with them as well, and shot me with it just like his brother. :-)
During lunch break on this day the bomb squad came out. They had some very interesting facts about their job and their toys. The robot costs $150,000 and is over 300lbs. The suit is 74 lbs. and has 100 layers of Kevlar in it. The suit is fire proof for 5 minutes.
After lunch we headed over to the archery range. AJ wanted to try left handed and found out that he can shoot with both left and right hands. He did a great job!!!
After that we headed to one of the hardest activities I thought. The boys were making a whistle out of wood. They had to cut and drill their own hole and then place another piece of wood to try and make it work. It took a lot of tweaking but we were finally able to make it work!! AJ and I were both extremely excited!!! It was another end to a great day!!!!
