German Adventures of David, Tammy, AJ and Michael

We had a great weekend!!! On Wednesday I had a conference with Michael's teacher. He said he is doing great in everything!! He said to keep up what we were doing at home and that Michael was a delight in class! On Thursday I had AJ's conference and much of the same from his teacher! She is very impressed with how well AJ is doing! I am very proud of him and his accomplishments this far. With such good reports we decided to celebrate with a little bowling! The boys played two games and had a blast!! After that they danced for about 30 minutes on the slick wood floor. It was so cute!! We were one of only two families in the whole bowling alley! The boys also had Friday off, along with Thursday, so we went over to a friend's house and made some German gingerbread houses! They turned out really cute!! The boys had a great time! Friday night I was able to go out with the girls and watch the new Twilight movie! It was really nice!!! I went to the Kino, it is a movie theatre on the economy that plays new movies sometimes in English! The crowd was pretty great too! On Saturday I was able to go to a RefresHer. It is the women's ministry at the church that we are going to. They invited down the owner of Bluebeet Inn to give us some history on Poland and how she started the Inn. She started it when she was 70 years young. Totally remodeled an old barn for two years. What I couldn't believe is how many things there are to do in Poland! I was also told that the girls go up there for pottery buying trips, but heck no! We are going as a whole family! There are so many things to do there not just for shopping, but also the history and out door adventures, as well as castles of course! We will be planning that trip in the near future! They also had Andy's Pottery come down and we did a little shopping and all the profit went to the Woman's Crisis Pregnancy right here in Ramstein. So it was for a good cause that I started my Polish pottery collection! I also won a door prize which was really cool!! After that it was off to a movie at Ramstein for the kids. It was Wreck it Ralph. Very, very cute movie!! The boys had a good time!! There aren't as many kids movies playing here so we take advantage when we can. That night we had a WONDERFUL family over for a BBQ. The five kids played so wonderfully while the adults talked all night!! It was a great evening!! Sunday was full of Church, Awanas and more church. It was really funny, after we left church for the second time that day Michael said "We need to come back more often" He cracks me up! We found a keeper in a church. Monday was such BEAUTIFUL weather, that Michael and I had an impromptu lunch/playdate. We went with one of his friends from his class to a little park that had a German little mom and pop joint. I had a brat for 2 euros and Michael a chicken sandwich for 2 euros. We stayed and played at the park for 2 and a half hours! It was really great!!! Now we are getting ready for our trip to Garmish. We are leaving Thursday morning and coming back on Sunday. We won't have a computer there, so you will have to wait until we get back for my updates!! There are some great things to see up there and I need to get a little more research in before we leave.
