Some songs during the meeting
AJ getting his face painted each color has a meaning in the Bobcat rank
Just received his Bobcat rank on his left pocket
Parents get a proud parent pin and ribbon also for their hard work
All the tiger cubs that made it, it is the biggest group ever in this pack!
Sunday was a great day!!! We had a nice lazy morning, got the bikes back together so we can ride again, great day at Awanas and AJ had his first pack meeting for cub scouts. This is when all the dens of all the ranks get together to do awards, etc. AJ was one of the Tiger Cubs that was promoted to Bobcat!!! I was told by the den leader that when he took the test he was THE BEST one there!! Not that I am bragging or anything. LOL! AJ also told his den leader that his quiz's were easier than Mommy's! At least he was prepared! Isn't that the boy scout motto? But we both are soooooooo proud of AJ. Now he wants to work on getting more belt loops. There are belt loops for all sorts of things and many we can do on our own so AJ is motivated that is for sure!!! He also is on challenge words again this week. He has gotten 100% on all of his spelling pre-tests and has been on the 2nd grade words every week. Last week he got 10 out of 12 right! He is doing great!! Michael is also doing great in school!! I hear nothing but positive feedback every time I talk to his teachers and he still loves school!! They said he doesn't need any help with his writing because he is doing so well!! Both boys seem to be getting into a rhythm here. David has been getting into a rhythm also working 12 hour days that doesn't include commute time. Luckily we have a four day weekend coming up so he won't be able to work since we are heading to Stuttgart. :-) He has to relax no matter what. I am keeping busy also, volunteering at school and still working on getting things done around the house. I did find a hair dresser today to finally cut my hair and she did a good job!!! I think I might go back. They all seem really nice at the salon, many different nations are represented there and they speak some English which is always good! The boys and I took a bike ride this afternoon, they had a good time and so did I--except pushing them up the hill on the way back. One of these years I am going to find a house that is not on a hill!
