So our first adventure was to Legoland on Friday. The boys have been so good through all this transition, we decided it would be a good time for them, and for us (but don't tell David that, he had other thoughts about waiting in line all day for rides LOL)!! Luckily it was a quiet day there. We went on Friday while most everybody was working and at school. We really didn't have to wait in line much at all. We got there about 30 minutes after the park opened and stayed until it closed. They close early here at 6 pm. So we put in over 7 hours of walking and having fun. I do have to say it is AMAZING what they can do with Legos. I have only put a few of the Lego creations because of overwhelming amounts of photos. But the mini Legoland had Berlin, Amsterdam and so many others. They had moving parts and everything! Little people in them and everything to make it almost spot on. They had many life size characters built also. Michael wasn't quite tall enough to ride all the rides and was a little disappointed, but not too much once we got to the ones he could ride. It was a beautiful blue sky day and about 65 degrees or so. Warm enough the boys talked us into not just one, not two, but three water rides. I got soaked on the first one and David got soaked on the second one along with the boys. The boys really liked the boat with the water pistols they shot at other people who shot back at them. It was kind of funny when they were telling us instructions in German and we just kind of sat there and hoped we weren't doing anything wrong. :-) We didn't get kicked out so we must have done okay. We also watched a 4D Clutch Powers movie which AJ was a little disappointed that it was in German. I told him we are in Germany, of course it is going to be in German. I am not sure which was their favorite part, but there was a whole thing with Ninjago Legos, which they LOVE!! They also thought the star wars ones were cool!! AJ had to go through those twice to make sure he saw everything. We did a ton of walking that day and were all a little pooped by the end, but we needed a recharge and we went out for dinner with our good friends to a little local pizza/Italian joint and they had really good food there. The waiter did pretty good with his lack of English and my limited German. I really need to learn more!!!
