On Friday I picked up AJ and his friend Julie and her mom
and went to the carnival that is in town.
We got there a little early (didn't realize it didn't open until 5) so
went to a park first. It was
great!! The weather was in the low 70s
and beautiful!!! So they had fun playing
at the park. Then I told them they each
could have one ride because David wants to come too and they can do more then. I do have to say I miss being able to get
wrist bands. You have to pay per ride
and it is not cheap. The small kiddie
rides are 2 euros (about $2.60 US) and it goes up from there. The big ferris wheel is 4.50 euros for an
adult. So to say the least they still
won't get too many rides, but we will go enjoy some good food down there!! Much different carnival food here than in the
states. And of course they have a beer
tent with live music at night. Well we
had a successful pumpkin patch and had to get the pumpkins carved. Michael was begging me and begging me to
carve them so when Daddy finally woke up on Saturday morning he was ready! We had a couple of the neighborhood kids that they
were playing with help us and David loved that because he didn't have to do as much
as normal. They were excited to help! It was good to because we had to get over to
AJ's bowl-a-thon for his cub scouts. They are raising money for a trip to camp on
the beaches of Normandy in spring of 2014. He did AWESOME too!!! He bowled a 98/122/111; I couldn't
believe it! He did have bumpers up, but
he beat all the kids in his lane all three games. Lucky
it was per pin and not score because we would have paid even more! He had a lot of fun though!!! Then we came
home and had a BBQ with our neighbors.
It was a lot of fun and nice that our schedules finally matched up. The boys had a good time also! They have two girls, one AJ's age and then
one is in 6th grade. We found out about
some cool activities to do and are looking into even more adventures!! Very excited about that!! Burg Frankenstein post coming soon!!! Man I got some good pictures!!!
Checking out the ducks, I guess you can feed them, but we weren't prepared for that
This is a big slide and the thing Michael carried up I think weighed almost more than him and there was an escaltor the 2nd half of the way
Very intense concentration carving the pumpkin
AJ working hard on his too
Bowl a thon!!!
