Chess Tournament and Scout Graduation

On Saturday May 30th, we had a very busy day.  It started out at 9 am at the school for AJ and Michael's first chess tournament.  They were both very excited about playing since they have been in chess club all  year.

Brotherly love!!  Thank goodness they weren't in the same group this time, they went by grade at this tournament.

Michael's first game, the other player wasn't very good, so it wasn't much of a challenge for Michael.

Michael took first place in his group!!  He won every game!!

AJ took second in his group only losing one game!!!

We are so proud of the boys!!!  They did such a wonderful job!!!!

After that it was hurry home, change clothes, grab everything and head out again to scout graduation.  We do it out at Camp Kachina, which is a nice little place and luckily only minutes from our house!

The new uniforms didn't arrive on time, so they just turned everything backwards to show that they are the next rank.

Michael did a wonderful job during his first year as a scout and now he is moving up to being a wolf!!!

AJ is graduating and becoming a Weblo this year.  He is changing shirts and everything.  It is very exciting!!!

After everything was over, the boys went and played some football!  It was a great, busy day!!!!  Amazing how everything is coming to an end for the year.  This year has flown by!
