We only had a day left and AJ had been really wanting to go to the museum. So we took an afternoon and off we went.
It is a really great museum with lots of different exhibits in it, especially for such a small town. Grandma is explaining some of the exhibits to AJ.
I didn't realize that Wooly Mammoth's teeth were so big - here is just one.
They had two different papers for the boys to do for their ages. Michael had to find objects and circle them and AJ had to answer questions in each section of the library. It was really wonderful! It kept their attention and made them actually look at everything.
One of my favorites, a caboose. I miss seeing them on the end of trains. I used to love seeing the caboose come at the end of a long train.
Grandma and AJ looking inside the caboose.
They also have an outside part of the museum where they have different cabins from way back when. They even have a school house that the third graders come down for a week and learn in.
Inside of one of the cabins - this was a family home and a large one at that.
Mom and the boys at the outdoor part of the museum.
AJ was very intent on showing Grandma a bear.
Grandma and her boys outside the museum. They both really enjoyed the museum and all the different exhibits.
After that it was so hot we decided that we needed to try some milkshakes. The boys love this restaurant because they have etch a sketches! They played with them when Grandma took us for breakfast here and were excited to come back for more!
Of course the milkshakes were a good draw too!!! This was one large one they shared. They are old fashioned and huge!!! It was a cool end to our time in Cashmere!
