More fun in Washington

We kept busy the last week we were spending at my parent's house.  There were a few things we wanted to accomplish before we left for the ocean.

One of them was going through the jail for one of AJ's bear scout requirement.  Thankfully David's Uncle Bert works there so he was able to take us through.  We couldn't take any photos on the inside, obviously, but it was very enlightening for the boys!!

The boys wanted to have separate pictures - they are too funny.

Next I wanted to go to Arlberg's sports, and low and behold they have a bicycle repair shop.  Well that was one for Michael's Tiger scout elective, so we stopped in there and they were so nice to talk to us and show us around.  The bike they are standing by is a snow bike - the tires are HUGE!!!

Then we had our last dinner with my Grandma who is 99 years old.  We went to her favorite restaurant, Applebees!   We had a wonderful dinner!!!  She is so spunky and in such great health!

My grandma and me!!!

One of the things my boys like to do is ride on my tractor.  It is not really mine, but it is the one I used when I worked in my dad's orchard.  AJ is getting a little too big to be able to do it for much longer.

This is one of the boys other favorite place to make mud, across the road.

They did a great job of getting muddy and having a lot of fun!!!!

Michael decided that Grandpa needed to be kept on his toes, so every now and then (almost nightly) Michael jumped on him to wrestle with him!

AJ decided to join in the fun and games - good thing Grandpa is strong!!!

He can still get the two of them!   They were trying to use the snakes again, but Grandpa used it against them.  :-)

Grandpa said AJ could drive the four wheeler by himself for the first time.  He was only allowed to go slow and a short distance, but he did a great job and enjoyed it!

Grandma decided it was hot enough one day to get into the pool with the boys!  It was sure nice to have that pool when it hit triple digits on so many days!!  The boys spent countless hours in there.

My dad has a few deer that live in his orchard.  This one was right outside the house just enjoying some shade.

While I was there I was able to do something for myself.  My mom and I took oil painting lessons.  This was my second time painting and this one was much more difficult and had so many layers to it.  But I am very happy with the end result and I can't wait to start another painting.  I think I have the itch.  :-)  It was so much fun!!!
