Frankfurt Zoo

On January 29th, we headed off to the Frankfurt Zoo with some of our good friends the Kenemores!!!

I love Michael's pose with the lion!!!  One of our favorite animals!!!!

This bear was really active, climbing up and down and we couldn't figure out what the bear was trying to see.

Then we walked over to the next pen and we saw the other bear and then figured out why.  We guessed they were a couple.  :-)

Then we went and saw our families favorite animal!!!!

Look how big his mouth is!!  I wouldn't want to get caught in it.

You can see his "lady" behind him.

A little closer picture of the lioness - I don't think I wouldn't want to mess with her either.

Michael and the lion were having a stare down - I am still not sure who won.  LOL

This little guy looked a little creepy and I am not sure what type of animal it was since it was all written in German.

Like father, like son - staring down the lion.

Michael petting one of the goats in the petting zoo.

Camels are such interesting animals - in looks and personalities.

Talk about interesting - check this bird out - crazy old bird.

This seal kept doing laps after laps in front of the kids.

Michael and Cai checking the seals out.

All the boys and Liz enjoying the seals!

This was one of the saddest and smelliest parts of the zoo.  The hippo didn't have much space at all.

So I know the sign is in German, but I think it is very clear to not stand behind this rhino!

This monkey was just chillin'.

This one looks like the boys when they are climbing, which is why they are called Monkey 1 and Monkey 2!

Where the monkeys lived I thought looked pretty cool - they had quite a bit of area and lots of climbing.

This one looked deep in thought - trying to figure out how to get into his food.

This guy was hiding up top eating his leaves.

The lemurs where fun to watch - they were very active moving and digging.

This little guy kept coming up to the window to look at the boys.

The lemur decided to pose with AJ.

First with the lion and then the lemurs.  I think he is training for something.

There was a playground and of course the boys went running!

We made it in time to see them feed the penguins - I am not sure how she keeps track of who she feds.

It is a lizard pile!

We have to get our snake picture in for Grandpa!!!!

The boys with the flamingos!

They were so bright pink!!

I was thinking about taking these ears home maybe they would listen to me, but unfortunately I couldn't take them with me.

Michael wanted to climb on top of the giraffe, but he wasn't supposed to, so we had to settle for standing next to it!

Of course, where was Michael - climbing on the trees!!!  It was a great zoo even if it was a little cold.  We always have a good time when we get together with our friends!!!

Awards ceremony for 2nd quarter

On January 27th, the boys had their 2nd quarter awards assembly.  We are always so proud of our boys!!!
