Father's Day 2014

David's Father's Day started out with some cuddling from Michael while watching a movie in the morning.  I was cooking bacon and eggs for breakfast.  The boys decided that I could do it by myself while they hung with Dad, which was fine with me.

After that we let him open his father's day gift - of course it was Seahawk stuff!  :-)

And since we were going to be gone for his birthday, we were nice and let him open his birthday present also.  He has been wondering what the gifts were since he came back from school!  The boys and I shopped early!

Good stuff!!!  I think he was happy with his gifts!  After that we headed to church and then out to lunch.  We ran into a few of our friends there, so the boys had a good time playing with them while David was able to do some browsing in the electronics which he loves!

David picked what we did all day and he wanted to take the boys to the driving range.  AJ was nice enough to carry my clubs for me!

David showing the boys how it is done!  We rented a couple of clubs for the boys that were their size.  We figured that was the best way since it was their first time holding a golf club.

David helping both boys with their swing.  They both were doing really good, especially for their first time!!!

We were having a hard time getting Michael to stand up straight, but both the boys were able to hit the balls and get it quite aways out there!

David wanted to hit a few of them!  I think if it wasn't such a far walk back to get more balls they all would have wanted to hit more.  The boys LOVED it!  They asked to do it again, which of course made David really, really happy!!!!  I even got in on the action, though I only hit about six balls because the boys were having sooooo much fun!!!  After that the boys headed to their friend's house so I could go home and pack for our trip to the states since we were leaving at 6 am the next morning.  It was a wonderful day and I think everybody had a lot of fun!

Scouts, community center and more

Saturday we had a really busy day.  We started at the bike rodeo for scouts.  This is Michael's first scouting event and he was extremely excited!!!

Getting on their bikes heading over there.

They also had a bouncy castle there, here Michael is doing karate moves!

They really enjoyed the bouncy castle and it got out more energy!!

Here AJ is getting his bike checked over to make sure it is in tip top shape!

Michael's turn, it was nice because now their bikes are both in tip top shape!

It was flag day, so they had a couple of airman come and do the flag ceremony.  They did a really great job!!!

Here they learned about the laws and rule of Germany for bike riding.  We found out we need two more reflectors on their bikes to make them German legal.

Michael liked this part, he was able to turn on the siren of the police bikes.  They are out there all year round on post and base now.

They also had a little bit about nutrition.

On to bike riding - they had obstacle courses the boys had to ride through.

They also had a pretend road so they had to stop and make sure who has the right of way.

This was Michael's second time riding without training wheels so he wanted Dad to walk next to him.

But he did get out there and ride on his own, we just need to ride a little bit more and I think he will get more confident.

AJ sure does love riding his bike and I am soooooo glad!

Michael making a small first aid kit.

AJ was learning how to change a tire on his bike.

They were going to do a 5K and a 10K bike ride.  We haven't done long bike rides yet, but AJ decided he wanted to do the 10K bike ride.

Off he goes!!!

They had a drunk driving car there and Michael really wanted to do it.  He could barely reach the pedals but was able to pull it off.  I think he crashed like 3 times, hit 2 people and went over the speed limit quite a few times.  But for not being a driver that wasn't bad.

AJ coming back from the 10K still smiling!!!

AJ decided he wanted to try also, he did about as well as Michael did.  :-)

After that we headed down to another post and joined a community day.  Of course they wanted to do the bouncy castle/slide first!!!

Next to the bean bag toss - AJ stayed here for quite awhile trying to beat his old score.

This gal was talented with the face painting, Michael wanted a dragon.

AJ also wanted a dragon, just a different kind of one!

And back to the slide!

AJ decided to get a T-Rex on the other side of his face.  It looked really cool!  I also love this smile coming down the slide!

Michael's turn!

AJ wanted a picture of the T-Rex with his mouth open.  He thought it was cool that he could make the T-Rex mouth open and close.  After that we decided to do some bowling.  It was a great time bowling!!!  Like I said it was a full and very fun day!!!

AJ with Josh on the last day!

I am so sad to be losing Mrs. Richardson as a teacher, she has been awesome for the two years AJ has had her!!!  I told her she needed to go back to first grade so Michael can have her also.  ;-)

Michael's class ready for the last day.

AJ and a couple of his classmates getting ready for their song at the pep rally.

They even had the ROTC bring in the flag and sing the national anthem.

Here AJ up on stage doing KES style!!  It was great!

Michael's turn on stage doing the Happy song!!

These two made the year so much fun!!  I really enjoyed subbing in the class and volunteering!

Michael and I in our happy shirts!!!

They had so much fun at the pep rally!  Here they started a congo line!!  AJ is in the tie dye shirt!

Michael got in on the action too!

Mrs. Richardson and I on the last day!

Michael enjoying a Popsicle on the last day!

We decided to go to the dinosaur park after school since they got out at 11 am.  Some of their classmates joined us.

Michael said he was being eaten by the dinosaur.  :-)

AJ relaxing - already enjoying the summer!

Some yummy dinosaur nuggets at the dino park!

There is water everywhere and it was a great day for it!

Michael up on the ship - ahoy matey!

He cracks me up, said he was cold and such.

And of course we had to have ice cream!  AJ ran off before I could get a picture of him.  :-)

Fire pole!

AJ's ice cream had water gun in it, so he was having fun squirting the other kids!

The boys with T-Rex.  It was a great last day of school and fun at dino park!!!  After that we headed to karate for their last class before we head to the states for the summer.
