Blue and Gold Scouts

On Sunday February 22nd we had the big blue and gold.  The scouts have this in honor of the scouting birthday.  We usually do a few extra things than on normal pack meetings.

Michael has worked really hard this year, first earning his bobcat and now earning his tiger.  He was really happy to earn the next rank and we are very proud of him!!!!

Here they are doing the painting ceremony.  Each stripe and mark on the face means something that they have done or will do for the next rank.

David pinning Michael's Tiger rank on!!

Proud Dad and son!!!  I am glad Michael decided to join up this year.

Now it is AJ's turn to pin on his next rank, the bear!

Again, the painting of the face.  AJ is finally ok with this.  When he was painted as a bobcat he tried to get the paint off as quick as possible.  This time he kept it on the whole meeting.  :-)

Pinning on his rank as a bear!  AJ LOVES scouts and is excited to continue on!!  We are so happy about this and so proud of him getting his next rank!!!

Our new bear scout!!  Big smiles all around!!!  After that was a cake auction, silent basket auction which AJ HAD to have one of them and then dinner.  It was a great evening and the boys also earned lots of belt loops and patches.  I think that I might have to get a new vest for him with all the patches that they are earning!!!
