Easter - Austria day 3

Easter Sunday!!!  We do like to travel on Easter and this year is no different, but thankfully the Easter bunny has always found us.

Their Easter baskets all ready for them to come out!

We were in a small apartment, so the Easter bunny didn't have a lot of places to hide the eggs, but there were a few the boys had a hard time finding!

This was our view in the morning out from our balcony!

Such a beautiful sight!!!!  Also it looked like it would be a great day for skiing!!!

David messing with the boys!

And they are LOOSE!!!!!

They did a great job of finding a lot of eggs!!  They had to use plastic sacks because their baskets were full and they were going to see the eggs before they got to their baskets this year.

After a hard and fast Easter egg hunt, the boys turned their attention to their baskets.

AJ checking to see what Michael received!

AJ's turn to open one of his presents.

AJ was very excited about his minecraft zombie pig, I think it is that.  :-)

There was a lot there to open and check out and they loved everything they received.

But then it was time to hit the slopes!!!!  Look at that handsome man!!!

AJ ready to hit the slopes!!  Look at that beautiful sunshine and blue sky!!!!

The view was spectacular!!!  I am going to warn you, I have a few pictures because I couldn't decide which ones to put in.  It was just so gorgeous there!!!

Michael down below me skiing away!!!  They spent the night grooming the runs and they were AWESOME!!!!

David looking good on the snowboard!!!!

Kay and Petra took us on a little harder run in the morning and Michael was a champ.  He said he was afraid and then took off!!!  Without their help, I don't think he would have tackled this hill!

The four of us at the top of the hill!

Just stunning looking at the Alps!!!

I took off with Petra and the kids to do a couple of harder runs on the other side of the mountain.  Different views and just as beautiful!!!!

Petra and I heading up the lift for another run!!!  We are so glad they invited us to come along!!!  It was so much fun!!!

From up here it felt like I could see forever!

David and I heading up the six seater.  Look at the sun on our faces!!!

We were waiting for Michael and Kay to make it back up the lift.  He was giving Michael a few more lessons, which was AWESOME!!!

After all those days of skiing, this is how the kids looked - only one left standing!!  LOL

Here they come!!!  I don't remember if I have told you, but this chair lift actually adjust when you get on the lift, it lowers down to the shortest person on the lift.  It is so cool, the only problem is if you are tall and you are riding with someone short, you really have to squat down.

Kids decided that they needed a break!

The whole gang, minus me behind the camera!

This is one great thing about spring skiing, the sunshine, great snow and the mountains below are green!

Michael decided to head for a little jump, he was getting

David and Michael on the half pipe!  They really enjoyed it!!!

Check out that fantastic skier!!!  And that beautiful view!

It was so peaceful and beautiful up here.  I could have stayed for a long time!!!

Michael being a speed demon!

As we arrived at the bottom of the hill to put away our skis and snowboards, an ice cream truck was there!!  So of course we had to get some!!!  As you can see it was really sunny and the boys (actually all of us) were a little sunburnt beneath their goggle line.  All smiles for a great weekend and the ice cream.

Our fearless driver trying to get us out of there so he can enjoy his ice cream as well.

We drove by this stream everyday on the way to the slopes.  It was so pretty and I bet in the summer and full winter it is gorgeous as well!!

If we had enough time we would have followed this bridge up onto the mountain!  We had such a fantastic weekend and the boys were already asking to go back as we were driving away.  That says a lot about how much fun they had on the vacation!  It was a bit of a drive home and it was late, but we made it safe and sound!
