Valentine's Day

So with our busy schedule and trying to get out for the weekend, I wasn't able to post about our Valentine's day last week.  I helped in both classes that day.  Both boys asked if I could, so of course I said yes!!!  I started out my day in Michael's class making cupcakes for the kids.  You can't bring in anything homemade - but if you make it there it is okay!  It was Michael's idea and I thought it was a great one!!  After that I helped with the passing out of the valentine's!

Michael's teachers handing out the Valentine's.  Each child made their own box to bring into the class.  Some of the parent's really got into it!

This is the box Michael and I made - we didn't have a ton of time and stuff, but he LOVED it and it was made by him!

Our goofy kid getting his stuff

Having his treats!!  Lots and lots of sugar - he licked the icing off the cupcake and then left the rest of it of course.  :-)
Then after that Michael and I hurried out, grabbed some lunch on the go and went straight to AJ's class.  The awesome thing is that Mrs. Richardson always includes Michael like he is one of the students.  So the moment we got there, Michael had the worksheet that they were working on in AJ's class.  The cool thing about AJ's day was that it wasn't only Valentine's day, but the 100th day of school which is HUGE in the schools!  They did shirts with tally marks you can kind of see on all the kids and many other projects surrounding the 100th day of school along with Valentine's day.

Both boys hard at work!

Michael after having waaaaay too much sugar!!!

AJ taking care of his little brother!!  It is really so cute!!!

This was the bag that AJ made for his Valentine.  The other kids were nice and some had extra that they were able to give Michael one also.  He felt very special!!

They were getting ready to do a hunt for 100 Hershey kisses in the room.  You can see some on their tables.  It was really a cute idea.  One of the mom's put stickers on the bottom and wrote the numbers from 1-100 on them.

Then the kids had to go find 5-6 (AJ was nice and he found 3 and Michael found 3) and then they put them on the big number board.  The kids thought it was really great!!!

Here they are trying to figure out how to divide up a 100 kisses between 18 kids evenly.  Michael is listening intently to his older brother!!!

This is their door for the day!!  The kids felt very special walking through that all day!!!  There were many comments from other kids walking through the halls that they thought it was really awesome!!!  It was such a fun day to be in the schools with the kids all day and I am so blessed that I am able to do that!! After school we were in a rush to get things ready for our big ski weekend!  The boys were very excited about it and so was I!!!  I have to get the pictures downloaded and hoping to get up the first day tomorrow!!
