Cruise Day 11 - Toulon

On our last day on the cruise we landed in Toulon, France.  We didn't have an excursion planned, so we were just going to see what there is to see.

A view from the boat.

Grandma, Grandpa, Gabby, and Kaitlyn enjoying some breakfast out on the open deck because it was such a beautiful morning!!!

I am not sure what was happening here, but I was sure getting picked on.

Dad just LOVES when I take pictures of him.  He decided on a little quiet while the rest of us headed into town.

A look back at the cruise ship between the other small boats docked there.

The girls checking out the local flea market.

It was a HUGE flea market, it kept going and going and going.

Everybody decided a nice break from some tea, hot chocolate, coffee, and some sweets were in order.

Grandma was nice enough to take all the grandkids back to the boat since they were tired of shopping so the four of us could enjoy a little more shopping and looking around the town.

This was a hidden gem, beautiful statue with a waterfall.

The Cathedrale Notre-Dame-De-La-Seds de Toulon was started in 1654 and was completed in 1659.  The woodwork and the episcopal throne made by Sénéquier in 1829. At the top of the woodwork, paintings in oil on gold background representing the Apostles. On the back wall, Moses and Elijah. This set dates from 1863-1864.

Chapel of the Holy heart of Mary and St. Anne:
At the top of the altar painting on canvas of Pierre Puget, painted in 1650: Saint Felix of from. Against the left wall, you can see a painting on canvas 'Rest of the Holy Family in Egypt' work of Paulin Guérin of Toulon, given by the State in 1828.  It is a marble plaque Recalling the translation in 1803 of the heart of the Pope Pius VI which Valencia in Rome went through Toulon to be venerated. At the same place in 1842, was exposed the relic of St. Augustine's arm, ranging from Pavia to Hippo.

After a nice walk around the town, we headed back to the boat.

We found two of the grandkids and Grandma and Grandpa playing cards.

Kaitlyn was enjoying a little relaxing in the pool.

Michael was also relaxing in the pool!!  He sure does love to swim!

Michael decided he wanted to play some cards as well after he swam most of the afternoon!

It was our last dinner on the ship and we wanted to eat in the Garden room.  The grandkids enjoying their final dinner on the boat.

David and I enjoying ourselves!!  We are such a cute couple if I do say so myself!!!

I love Michael's expression in this picture!!!  It was a look when he thought he wasn't going to get his chocolate chip cookies for dessert!  LOL  :-)

We wanted to take a picture with our wonderful servers who took such great care of us the whole trip!!!  They made our dinners marvelous!!!!

The Garden Room, such a great place and wonderful memories we have of it!!!  It was such a wonderful cruise and we had a FANTASTIC time just being with each other and enjoying seeing new places!
