Prague - Czech Republic

We have heard that Easter is one of the best times to visit Prague so we decided to head over there and check it out.  It ended up being a short weekend and we weren't able to get to our apartment until about 10 pm on Friday night.  But you know me, can't waste any time.  :-)  So after we dropped our bags in the apartment we went walking around the town.  The apartment was in such a great area, it was right in the center of the old town.  We were able to walk to everything!!  All the activities were happening right below our window.

As we walked outside of our apartment, this is what we saw the astronomical clock.  Don't worry, the next post will have all of the history on everything we saw!!  :-)

Aren't my boys handsome?  Standing with the old square behind them.

The famous astronomical clock!!!

The Easter market was in full swing and they did this one huge painted egg in the square.

We headed towards the river and saw some beautiful sights, this is the castle in the background.

On the left is the Charles Bridge with the Cathedral bright on the left and the castle up on the right.  It was so worth walking around at 11 pm at night!

Charles bridge, one of the most famous ones in Czech.

I liked the way this statue was with the lights below it.  The boys did pretty good with walking so late, I made it up to them with ice cream (of course) and a slice of pizza for a midnight snack.  Then we headed back to the apartment for a little sleep before we started early the next morning.
