Scout promotion June 1st

So on Saturday AJ had his scout promotion.  The scouts own a little piece of town right outside of Kaiserslautern where you can go camping if you wish.   Luckily the rain had stopped so it was only a little muddy, but a good afternoon.  We brought our camping chairs and they had a big fire going when we arrived.

We had a bit of time to play around when we arrived, so of course the first thing they headed for was the sticks.  :-)  Boys will be boys!!!

Here Andre and AJ are receiving the Berlin patch.  Over here in Europe you can earn patches for places that you visit.  They have set places that you have to go and see and once you do that you get a patch to wear.  It is a really neat one.  We are planning on getting at least two more this summer, maybe more, I have to check out where they all are.  :-)  We have to have a few things to do this summer.  LOL

Here is AJ just promoted to a Wolf!!  We are so proud of him and all that he has accomplished this year with scouts.  He has really come so far and done so much!!!  We can't wait to see what next year will bring.

And of course, where do we find Michael?!?!  Right by the fire.  I LOVE my boys!!!

Here is the new wolf pack!!!  The kids are very excited!!!

They were able to roast marshmallows after they had their hot dogs.  They went hunting for sticks in the forest.  What could be better?!?

The boys with their smores!!!  So after the wonderful scout event we headed over to some friends house for dinner.  It was a fantastic dinner and they left the scouting before they could do smores, so we decided to cook some more!!!  My boys didn't complain at all!!!

Here is Michael, Alex, Andre and Gracie roasting their marshmallows.

AJ had it down, if you can see, he is holding one stick by his foot and then another in his hands.  He said he had a back up marshmallow, just in case something happened to one of them!!!

I am not sure what Michael was doing here, he cracks me up!!  I think he was growling at the marshmallow, I am not sure what the marshmallow did to him though.  Michael liked to roast them, but not eat them, so we finally had to cut him off because David was full.  It was a wonderful evening that ended with playing Phase 10 with a twist (which on a side note is an AWESOME game!!) and are going to have to have a re-match to see who is the champion at our next game night!!!
