Disneyland Friday and Saturday

So my parents LOVE their grandsons because they said instead of going back into Paris on Friday, that we could go to Disneyland again!!!  The three of us were really excited!!  We didn't get up quite as early as usual but still made it in there for the early bird!

This was the first day we had weather like this.  It had been cold, but not foggy or rainy.  But thankfully this was the third day here.  We headed for Fantasyland first this morning.

Going through the castle, it was pretty inside.  We went on the Peter Pan ride first, actually went twice.  We all agreed that the driver was worse than the Star Tours driver.  As we were getting off of it, the ride shut down because of technical problems.  We were just happy to get off of it before it stopped.

What trip to Disneyland is complete without going on the Tea Cups!  They are a lot smaller than I remember from when I was 10 years old and my legs are a lot longer and didn't fit quite so well on this ride.

Jack and the Beanstalk

We were meeting our friends over in Walt Disney Studios at 10 am so we decided to take the horse and carriage back to the front of Disneyland.

We had it all to ourselves, most people were riding it into Disneyland, not out of.  :-)

Mom and Dad with their era of Disney!!  I wouldn't call them old, but...  LOL  :-)

After we went on Crush's Coaster again, twice :-), we headed over to the parachute drop.  Lynnie wanted to do one ride with the boys and they all thought this was a good compromise.  AJ wanted the Tower of Terror and Michael the Rockin' Roller Coaster.

Going down!!!!!  After that we headed to Stitch Live.  It took them an hour to get on this ride. The lines were a lot longer today.  Michael said it was boring waiting in line.  But they both LOVED Stitch live!!  It was an interactive show and quite hilarious!!  After that we went for some lunch.  We discussed our options, either wait in loooooong lines and stay at Disneyland or each pick one more ride and then we head back to the hotel and go swimming.  Guess which they chose?!?  Swimming!!!

So the one show we hadn't seen yet was Armageddon because it had been closed all week.  So we stopped in and checked it out since the next show was in 10 minutes.  It was pretty cool, it was the part of the movie that the Russian space station was blowing up.  You could feel the heat from the fire.

What ride did Michael pick - yep you guessed it!!  Rockin' Roller Coaster!!!

Then we had a little time before AJ and Grandma were off the Tower or Terror so we said hi to another Mike!

And of course Mickey!!!

And just in case you have an animal - they actually have an animal care center right there at Disneyland, so your pets can have a good day also!  After that we headed home for swimming, games and dinner!!!  I think the boys chose wisely!!  The pool was empty again and we had a wonderful time!!!

So Saturday was a little sad because we were packing up to head home.  We had such a great time!!  But the fun didn't stop yet because Space Mountain was closed all week and was finally opening up Saturday morning!!  And I really wanted to ride it.  So off to Disneyland we went again!

This day was bright and beautiful!!  We headed straight to Space Mountain.  Grandpa and Michael went on Buzz Lightyear, while Grandma, AJ and I went on Space Mountain.  Very different from California Space Mountain, but fun nonetheless and again no lines!!!  So AJ and I ran around to get in line again and low and behold as we were waiting in line, it broke.  Sad day.  So then AJ and I jumped on Buzz Lightyear with the rest of the family.  Then we were going to go to Star Tours one last time, but alas it was closed.  So then we decided we had a great run and to call it quits.  I have to say even with the early bird, there were as many people at the park then as on Friday during its peak I think.  It was really crowded.  Then as we were exiting Disneyland at 9:30 the lines were HUGE.  There had to be a thousand people waiting to get in.

And that was just those that were in line, that didn't include the hoards that were walking in and the ones waiting to get parking!!  We were sooo amazed!!  Lynnie did tell us that there was a 3 1/2 hour wait for Crush's Coaster, but wow!!  We were really spoiled!  We had a fantastic time!!!  One that everybody will remember!!!  We were just sorry that David wasn't able to join us on this adventure.  But don't worry, the boys say we have to take him to Paris and Disneyland.  :-)
