DISNEYLAND PARIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So on Monday we decided to head to Disneyland for the boys before we went to Paris for all the "boring" museums, etc.  I am not sure who was more excited, them or me?  I had a hard time sleeping because I was so excited!!  So, earlier than Dad wanted to go, we headed for Disneyland.

Driving into Disneyland Paris!!!!

The four of us in the parking lot anxious to get in!!!  At least I was!!!  :-)

The boys in front of Disneyland - all smiles ready to go in!!

The entrance - we are almost there!!!  We were also able to go into the park two hours early because we were staying at one of their hotels, which was really nice.  Not everything was open, only select rides, but it was still great!

The three of us on the inside - you can tell it is Christmas time!

We headed over for Star Tours as our first ride!!!

No lines for us, we walked right up to the front.  As we walked a mile to get to the front of the line I told the boys how sometimes these were crowded with people.  I am not sure if they believed me or not.  :-)  They really enjoyed the ride!!  Half of it was in German, but the other half English so they were able to get the gist of it.  They also said the robot was a crazy driver and I have to agree.

Next we headed over to Buzz Lightyear - Mom and Dad getting ready to battle Zurg!!!

In front of the castle - the boys and I have been to the real castle that this is modeled after.

AJ and Michael trying to pull the sword in the stone.  Unfortunately neither are the king - maybe next time.

On the Merry-Go-Round with Grandpa!

At 10 am everything else opened up so we headed over to Big Thunder Mountain.  Again we had to wait maybe 10 minutes to get on.  Everybody loved it!!  So since the line was so short, we decided to hop right back on!

Grandpa and AJ on Big Thunder Mountain!

Boys in front of Skull rock.  We tried to go to Indiana Jones - but when we arrived over there it was closed because of some problem.  But that was okay.  We decided that we were hungry and so went for some lunch.

Lunch at Cowboy Cookout BBQ.  We arrived just in time, had the place basically to ourselves, and were served right away!!  Also had lunch in front of a nice fire!!  It helped warm us up, it was pretty cold and the wind was blowing.

Then we were heading over to Walt Disney Studios and we ran into one of the parades.  It was great timing!!  So we decided to stop and watch it.  Here are the toy soldiers from Toy Story.  They had so many of the characters - the boys were entranced.

Mickey and Minnie getting into the Christmas spirit!!

And you can't forget about Pluto our pal!!!

Then off to Walt Disney Studios.  Luckily it wasn't too far of a walk.  Here is Grandma and the boys in front of the Fantasia statue.

We went and watch Disney Junior Live on stage.  They had it in many different languages, so it was nice we could understand it since it was in English!

Then as we walked outside, there was another parade coming down the street - Stars and Cars.  Like I said we had really good timing, not even meaning too!!

Lilo and Stitch in their ride!!

This was AJ's favorite car in the parade - Aladdin and the Genie car.   After that we headed to Michael's favorite ride - Rock n' Roller Coaster.  It had Aerosmith music blaring in your ears while you were on a fast roller coaster, upside down and all.  He LOVED it - so again, since the wait was only 5 minutes, we had to go again.  :-)

Then we headed to Motors ... Action Stunt Show Spectacular.  The one in the red car was the good guy.  What I didn't know, when he was driving fast backwards, they actually had a driver using another car that was built backwards.  So he really was going forward, even though to us it looked like he was driving backwards.  Pretty neat.

Grandpa and the boys in awe with all the different performances.  It was about an 45 minute show.

It also included Lighting McQueen and Mater - It was really cute!!!

The boys really thought this was cool, the man was riding a motorcycle and slid through fire and then he was on fire.  He walked from the wall on the right all the way there until they put him out.

We were all saying "cheese!"

The boys and I on the parachute drop!!  Not quite like parachuting out of a plane, but it did give your stomach a lurch.

Buzz Lightyear to the rescue!!!

The boys thought this was a cool bridge!!  The boys and their dogs.  :-)

We then headed back to Disneyland - everything was getting lit up!

And look what we ran into - another parade.  It was actually really great!!  This way we were able to do all of the parades on Monday and then when we came back on Thursday we focused in on the rides!  This is Peter Pan.  Since we didn't know it was going on, we stood up on some benches in the back.

Mickey and the gang!

The castle as it was getting dark - I love the colors!

Heading out of Disneyland for the day after 10 1/2 hours there.  I had put a crock pot on at the bungalow for dinner.  When we got home we didn't smell anything.  Well, they said the main area electricity stays on, but the kitchen I guess wasn't in the main area even though it was right there with the fridge.  So we had some mac and cheese and hot dogs.  Thank goodness I packed extra stuff!  It was great!!  The boys played Kings in the Corner with Grandpa while Grandma and I cooked.  And then some spinner dominoes after dinner!!  It was a great ending to a wonderful day!!!
