Easter is quickly arriving.  I can't believe how fast the time flies.  It is almost April and it seems like yesterday was Christmas.  Of course with the snow we have been having lately and the below freezing weather it feels like Christmas too!  On Wednesday Michael and I were invited over to a friend's house to color some eggs.  Here in Germany they actually blow their eggs out, which I have never heard of before.  So the ladies taught me how to blow the egg out and just leave the shell.  Then you color the shell.  Many Germans will make German pancakes with the eggs so they don't go to waste.  It is actually much worse than blowing up balloons, I only did two and was a little light headed from it.

Each one was able to choose their own animal plate for snacks and Michael chose a snake.

Isn't he so cute and such a ham?

Self portrait - he still hasn't gotten that bottom tooth in yet.  Makes it really easy to drink through a straw though.  :-)

Michael hard at work dyeing his eggs, he is trying to figure out which color next.  He likes to mix the colors.

On Thursday the Gartenschau (AKA Dinosaur Park) opened up.  This year I bought a season ticket for the family because it is such a cool park and will be great in the summer time to run off some energy!!!  We weren't going to go in, but the boys begged me and Julie's mom finally gave in.  :-)  It was cold and windy and we had already been outside for over an hour and hadn't warmed up yet.

AJ and Julie with a ceramic turtle (I think it is a turtle anyway).

Julie and Michael - aren't they cute?!?

The three amigos up on the swing - you can see in the background the stone steps, etc.  That is a water park during the summer months.

AJ and Michael up on the ropes course.  It still amazes me what they have at their parks here in Germany and so much fun for the kids!!!

Michael coming down the two story, twisty slide!

AJ climbed up to the platform and did a great job, it is fairly high up there!

Walking across another section of the ropes course

Michael relaxing in the swing.  He sure does love to swing!!  At any park, he would be on them for ever if I let him and would push him.

LOOK OUT!  AJ is getting eaten by a dinosaur!!!

Oh No, now it has Michael and Julie too!!!

They have all sorts of dinosaurs everywhere in the park - hence the nickname.  We didn't even scratch the surface this time because it was cold and a school day.  But we will definitely be back here A LOT this summer and bring picnics, etc.  They also have free concerts and other events in the park during the year.  So many more adventures at the dinosaur park!!
