Beach time!!!!

On Tuesday July 21st, we packed up and headed to the beach.  From Houston it is only about an hour to get to the beach!!!

The kids ready to hit the water!!!  All smiles and ready to go!!!

Porchea and Victor made these wonderful glasses for us!!!  As you know from yesterday, the unicorn is our mascot and we are Team VANDILO!!!!

So much fun to be had by us three!!!!  And lots of trouble to be made!!!

We wanted the sunscreen to sit on them first before they got in the water, so a little sand time to start!

Off into the water!!!

AJ running to catch up with the crew!  We had a couple of boogie boards for the kids to use.

Michael's turn to try, the biggest problem was the waves weren't too big and it was hard to catch a wave.  It didn't stop the boys from trying.

They were done with the water for awhile and decided to build sand castles.

AJ soaking in the rays!

I am not sure if they are building or just playing with the water in the sand.  :-)

The adults wanted to get in on the fun as well!!

Michael decided that he was done building sand castles and wanted to try boogie boarding again.

We built two sand castles that were connected with a wall.

I think they turned out awesome!!!  This one had a little bridge over the wall, decorations and everything!

At the end of the day we headed down the beach to look for sea shells.

My independent spirit - sometimes he just likes to be by himself and that is ok.

They found a snail on the beach, it was pretty big too!!!

The picture says it all!!!

The five Vandilo kids!!!!

And of course, don't forget the ladies!!

After that we headed to one of Krista's favorite restaurants in the area to have dinner.  It was really great food, with a wonderful view!!!

They kids had their own table - cheers!!!

Michael being the captain - that might be scary!

Our crazy kids!!!  All fed and ready to head back to Krista's.

Later that night we decided that we needed some yummy dessert.  So we headed out to late night pie and ice cream!!!  I am not sure what we were thinking about feeding them that much sugar that late at night, but they had a wonderful time!!!!
